Financing for government contractors
Winning a public contract means performing first and getting paid later. We help you explore capital to carry operations between delivery and payment, or financing to buy your property.
GROW™ — capital for your next stage
GROW™: up to $350,000, up to 10-year terms, no prepayment penalty and no specific personal collateral required.
What owners typically invest in
- Payroll while invoices are collected
- Materials and equipment to perform
- Certifications and compliance
- Hiring specialized staff
- Expanding warehouse or offices
OWN™ — buy the building where you operate
Offices, warehouse and yard support contracts that can run for years. Renting leaves your delivery capacity tied to a lease shorter than your commitments. Ownership aligns the property with the length of your contracts and steadies the cost.
What lenders typically review
Lenders usually review how long the business has operated, its cash flow, the owners’ credit and awarded contracts and the collection cycle. For GROW™, reference guidelines include three or more years in operation, a personal FICO of 650 or above, a minimum SBSS score of 165, personal and business debts current, repayment capacity with a minimum DSCR of 1.25x and no bankruptcy in the last seven years. GROW™ does not require specific personal collateral, though limited business collateral requirements may apply. To buy the property through OWN™, your business must occupy most of the building.
Frequently asked questions
Does capital help with the government payment cycle?
That is one of the most common uses: carrying payroll and materials while payment is processed, subject to lender review.
Do awarded contracts help me qualify?
A record of completed contracts can show stability. The decision depends on the full business profile.
Can I buy the property I operate from?
In many cases, yes, if your company occupies most of the property, with amounts up to $5 million or more under OWN\u2122.
Which reference guidelines apply?
Three or more years in operation, personal FICO of 650 or above, SBSS of at least 165, current debts and a minimum 1.25x DSCR.
Related uses of capital
Every rent payment builds your landlord's equity. With owner-occupied SBA financing, you can buy the building you rent today and turn that monthly payment into an asset you own.
